Wild.

all this rain, things have gone wild.

on the plus side it saves me watering the plants.
we've just planted a lot.

let it grow, let it grow, let it grow.

Lists

I have lists of lists.
I'm writing a list right now. My head is so full of things to do that I need to write lists to stop me getting distracted and doing the more enjoyable tasks. Ignoring the clothes mountain on the spare couch needs to go on a list, finalising menu choices for the wedding needs to go on a list, walk the dog, eat dinner...Yes, I even need lists for the mundane, everyday needs to be done tasks.

Some of the more enjoyable tasks are embroidery & sewing. I haven't sewn anything really since school so it's nice to try it again.

I bought some lovely vintage embroidery hoops on etsy and I'm planning to embroider the table numbers for the wedding...something like this:

so mush inspiration, so little time

From where I sit....

It's 7 weeks (or just under) until our wedding. EEK
I may start to panic soon. Noel (the fiance) went off to work last week and doesn't return until 3 weeks before the wedding.
I spent the weekend trying to get somewhere with the bunting I started making months ago....the mother of the bride is in panic mode already. Stemming from the fact that she is abandoning me for a holiday shortly before the wedding, hence everything must be sorted before she leaves.

It's been quiet on the home front. Our latest piggies went to slaughter and I will be spending this evening trying to fit them both into our freezer. (I hope there are no vegetarians reading, apologies if there are!)

Here's what yesterday afternoon looked like. .

Bunting HQ
So, welcome to my blog, it's a bit of an unknown entity at the moment. An introduction might be in order. Hi, I'm Dee. I love just outside a small town west of Cork City called Innishannon, with my fiance Noel and a menagerie of animals. We're small holders in the smallest sense of the word so far but we're ambitious. This is a blog to document the goings on, the inspirations & the loves of my life.
